I have been working with adolescents, young adults, and families for over 20 years and have experience with a wide variety of mental health, developmental, and behavioral disorders. I have extensive experience working with youth and families of color.

I have also worked with clients on many other issues, including: family issues, transitioning to adulthood, grief and loss, problems with peers, coping with childhood trauma and abuse, stress management, anger management, social skills development, living in the foster care system, and issues unique to LGBTQ youth.

I am trained in Readiness Assessments for transgender youth seeking to begin their medical transition, and can provide pre-medical transition counseling as well as ongoing counseling. I have particular interest in issues relating to Autism Spectrum Disorder, and am also certified in addressing issues of tech addiction and digital health.

Because of my strong background in school settings, I can also help families navigate and understand the special education process so that they can effectively advocate for the best services for youth with educational disabilities.

My theoretical framework is based in cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and behavioral techniques that include elements of dialectical behavior therapy. Treatment goals are created and evaluated continuously throughout the course of our work together in order to closely monitor and enhance progress towards those goals. Treatment modalities will be designed to meet clients’ individual needs.
